Get Out of My Way

Some people use any excuse to be rude
No social rules or common courtesy for them
They’ll do what they please and we better beware
I’m coming through get out of my way

Some use their wheelchairs as their excuse
They’ll deliberately bump people or get in the way
And if you complain you’re being mean
I’m in a wheelchair get out of my way

I know a blind person who likes to whack people
And if you complain will say but I’m blind
He can see enough to know someone is there
But his attitude is I’m blind get out of my way

Some use babies in strollers as their excuse
Even shoving them out to stop vehicle traffic
They’ll block people’s way or plow through the crowds
I’ve got a child get out of my way

If someone is rude they’ll seek any excuse
Using whatever props to claim it’s okay
And if they’ve got their excuse you shouldn’t complain
I don’t care about you get out of my way
